Beloved Sister,
If it is anything that we can learn from the metamorphosis of a butterfly, it is that true and lasting change does not happen overnight; it is a process. It takes time. Long before we see the exquisite beauty of a fluttering butterfly, a meticulous work had to take place on the inside of the caterpillar.
The same is true for us.
Long before we can emerge as a Truly Transformed Woman of God, a work must take place on the inside. You see, when we accept Christ as Savior, He takes up residence in our hearts and we instantly become new creations. We get a fresh start. We gain a new nature - we have a new life! But this is only the beginning of the process. The rest depends on us…
Ephesians 4:21-24 declares, "Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God -truly righteous and holy."
